Sujit Choudhry has an extensive list of highly respectful credentials.

Sujit Choudhry is a known authority in comparative constitutional law. He was born in 1970, in New Delhi, India. As a youth, he attended high school in Canada and went on to study in the field of biology, at McGill University. From there, he attained a Bachelor’s in Law, while enrolled at the Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar. He also earned his LL.B. while attending the esteemed University of Toronto and an LL.M from Harvard.

 

While at Harvard, he was a Graduate Fellow, specifically, he was awarded the Frank Knox Fellowship and returned, several years later, in the role of a visiting researcher, during the academic year of 1998 to 1999. The Canadian Humanities Research Council, also awarded him a Fellowship.

 

From the years 2014 to 2016, he was the Dean of the Berekley School of Law. Sujit Choudhry is famous, for being the first citizen of Indian origin to be appointed as a dean, at one of the most prestigious of United States schools of Law. Sujit Choudhry has also labored as a Professor of Law, while at the University School of Law, in New York and he earned the Trudeau Fellowship, as well, for his respectful work in post conflict constitutional law.

During Sujit Choudhry’s employment as a Law Clerk, in 1996, he worked closely with Antonio Lamer, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, in Canada. He worked as a faculty member in 1999, at the Toronto University, namely as an Assistant Professor. In 2004 he was awarded tenure and appointed as the Scholl Chair.

 

While staffed at the Governing Toronto Advisory Panel, he planned fo reforms to the foundation of the Toronto municipal governance. While there, he was appointed to the Board of Directors of Legal Assistance. This is one of the biggest openly funded assistance programs for law, in all of the world.  Based on wikipedia.com.

 

He is a known supporter of LGBT rights and donated his legal assistance to the same sex marriage movement, in Canada. He has also been in highly publicized discussions regarding the rights of groups, in a divisive society.
