As the 2017 Painted Turtle camp calendar nears the end, it’s an appropriate time to meet one of its powerhouse directors, Eric Pulier. Every summer, the charity stages a venue in the interest of entertaining chronically ill children with outdoor adventures and group activities. This isn’t the first philanthropic outreach Pulier has supported. He’s also a director of another charitable organization called XPrize Foundation. Pulier plays a pivotal role in the charity’s event planning and competitions. This talent search platform engages next-generation technologists by creating incentivized contests. Having a brilliant technology industry innovator like Pulier among panelists judging the competition is inspirational.
He’s made notable developments as a master technologist. For example, he’s the creator behind “The Bridge to the 21st Century,” a historical technological exhibit commissioned by the former Presidential Inaugural Committee in 1997. His name has become synonymous with pioneering discoveries such as developing the first technology that streamed live interactive video with space shuttle astronauts. With his continued support, the Multiple Sclerosis Society has made a headway with its patient education program. Pulier designed an educational multimedia platform that’s dedicated to helping patients learn about multiple sclerosis.
The outstanding Harvard graduate studied American Literature and English. He’s been awarded a Bachelor’s for each discipline. Pulier programmed his first computer when he was just 10. He also launched his own database startup before finishing high school. At Harvard, Pulier quickly found his place as a junior columnist and editor for the university’s on-campus media house. His author profile with “The Harvard Crimson” remains active to date. It chronicles some of his finest journalistic publications exploring a series of events and subjects. After graduation, Pulier relocated to Los Angeles and established his first official technology startup, “People Doing Things.” The company made a headway in developing cutting-edge technologies for the education and healthcare industries.
The New Jersey-native spearheaded the launch of over 15 start-ups as a founding father or co-founder. Among successful ventures are Desktone, MediaPlatform, U.S. Media Interactive, LLC. SOA software and more. It’s no wonder VAR Business nominated him among 30 distinguished Internet visionaries of the modern age. As a regular Forbes contributor, he’s published many noteworthy pieces, “The Enterprise Industrial Complex,” which received positive feedback from readers in 2012. His book “Understanding Enterprise SOA,” is a keepsake that’s inspiring readers worldwide.

There are not many persons as kind, caring and passionate about helping other human-beings as AviWeisfogel. Maybe it is Dr. Weisfogel’s attitude about life that has led him to search for ways to arrest, a very serious health condition–that being, Sleep Apnea
Dr. Avi Weisfogel, states that there are currently an excessive populace that have the disorder and are unaware of it. A classic symptom of the health condition snoring. Almost, always, a person snoring, a good bit, during the night, is a Sleep Apnea potential patient.
Dr. Weisfogel believes the lack of diagnoses in the area is a great health issue. The preceding is the primary reason that Dr. AviWeisfogel, developed and established, the Dental Sleep Masters Program. He did so in order that Physicians and Dental Practitioners could easily identify persons with Sleep Apnea.
Sleep Apnea occurs during sleep. The sufferer stops breathing, temporarily, while he or she is engaged in sleep. This happens quite often. Depending on the depth of sleep, the person who has Sleep Apnea may awaken, frequently, during the night, once or twice, or sometimes not at all. He or she, in the preceding instance, just stops breathing, for a certain length of time–and then starts up again. The solution is a handy and user-friendly oral appliance. This remedy is not at all difficult to administer. The person wearing the appliance, is able to attain oxygen to his air passageway.
The Dental Sleep Masters’ Program, developed by Dr. AviWeisfogel, is, undoubtedly, a viable solution, in way of ridding the populace of the serious sleep condition of: Sleep Apnea. “Hats off” to Dr. AviWeisfogel for developing such an innovative program.
Video games have sold in very large amounts so far in 2017. Many developers have experienced very large profits because of the great response their games have received up until this point. It is very interesting to note that there are a wide variety of genres represented in the top selling video games. This shows that gamers have very different tastes in the games that they choose to play in their spare time. Shooting games dominated this list a few years ago. However, it seems the tastes of the public have changed during that time. Let’s take a look at the games that have racked up the highest sales figures so far in 2017.
The biggest selling game so far in 2017 is “Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands.” The late author continues to have very popular games associated with his name. This particular game is considered to be one of the best of the Tom Clancy series. It is inventive and very engaging. It was designed by Ubisoft and it continues a very successful run of games for the company over the past several years. Players are able to play the game at the same time and work together to defeat it. This element has made the game very popular. There is also a wide variety of environments and weapons to choose from in the game.
“For Honor” is another Ubisoft creation that ranks number two on the list. This is a fighting game where the players can choose to be a knight, a samurai or a viking. There are several elements to this game that have not been present in many recent fighting games. For example, the combination of buttons required to make the characters move is more complex than other games in this genre. Players appreciated this because it was too easy to win fights with the simplistic button combos in other games. This is one of the things that sets Ubisoft apart from other game developers.
Many parents do not like it when their kids play video games for a long period of time. They feel that video games in large doses are not good for their children. However, a new study by the University of Glasgow might shoot holes in that theory. The study indicates that video game playing actually improves the hand and eye coordination of children. It also improves their performance in areas such as resourcefulness, ability to communicate with each other and their ability to adapt to stressful situations. There are more studies involving children and video games that are currently underway at the same university. It will be a while until all of the data has been released. However, the early data seems to prove that video games are not nearly as harmful to children as many parents thought they were.
There has been a great deal of debate about the toll that extended video game playing takes on a person’s brain. This debate has been raging ever since video games were introduced 40 years ago. Many parents believe that video games have no redeeming value whatsoever. However, many of these parents still allow video game consoles in their homes because they are a distraction and a way to keep their kids occupied for long periods of time. Many of these parents also realize that their kids would simply go to a friend’s house to play video games. Therefore, they prefer to be able to keep an eye on their kids so they can monitor what games they are playing.
The University of Glasgow has not commented on what any of their other studies involving video games are going to be about. They have also not released info regarding how long the studies will take or how many kids will be involved. However, they did say in a press release that some info on the study results will be available by the end of the year.
Cardiology is a very important practice. Every human being needs to maintain his heart health and that is the practice of cardiology. Cardiology is an internal medicine specialty that focuses on heart health. It looks to correct or ameliorate disorders such as heart failure, congenital heart defects, valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease and issues relating to electrophysiology. Glen Cove’s cardiologist is Dr. Edward Honig, graduate of Duke University.
Dr. Edward Honig has been in practice for 66 years and maintains his office at Glen Cove University Hospital. As a cardiologist, he treats the heart problems of both children and adults. As a pediatric cardiologist, he must perform a cardiac catheterization in order to diagnose a child’s heart problem. For adults he will use his stethoscope to listen to the heart rhythms. He can also gather information from the results of blood tests, electrocardiography, a heart monitor worn by the patient, cardiac stress testing, an electrophysiology study and heart imaging.
Dr. Edward Honig’s Blood Tests
Blood tests can be used to analyze cholesterol transport behavior. The test will look at high-density lipoprotein (HDL),the good cholesterol, Low-density lipoprotein(LDL),the bad cholesterol and triglycerides. Some additional blood tests that are helpful in getting a clear understanding of how well the heart is functioning are obtaining a blood pressure reading, getting the results from the following tests: c-reactive protein, fibrinogen, homocysteine, fasting insulin, ferritin, lipoprotein and a coronary calcium test.
- C-Reactive – a protein found in plasma, with rising levels as inflammation increases
- Fibrinogen – two tests activity to measure conversion into fibrin for healthy blood clot formation and antigen to determine healthy fibrinogen activity.
- Homocysteine – to determine B12 or foliate deficiency or high tendency for a heart attack or stroke.
- Fasting Insulin – patients who experience heart palpitations may have low glucose or hypoglycemia which becomes evident with the fasting insulin test results
- Ferritin – by measuring your ferritin levels, your iron levels can be detected; too much iron can cause heart palpitations and chest pains
- Coronary Calcium Tests – this is a heart scan which looks for clogging in the arteries to find heart disease in the early stages
The remaining tests, most people are familiar with in that they use electrodes attached to the skin in areas around the heart to measure the heart’s electrical activity. By mapping out the heart’s behavior, abnormal activity can be readily spotted. That’s the function of a cardiologists like Dr. Edward Honig. To insure your heart is functioning in a healthy manner, see a cardiologist. If you’re in Glen Cove, NY, call Dr. Edward Honig’s office at Glen Cove University Hospital and make an appointment for your heart checkup today.

Glen Wakeman does what winners do, which is win, of course. That is simple enough. However, the way these wins add up and the influence it takes to ensure that their integrity and security holds is anything except simple. As a friendly business introduction, it is suffice to say that he is a successful executive, mentor, entrepreneur and investor. Fortunately, getting to know the details of this financial businessman is the best part of really and truly understanding what he does.
Counting his latest as the greatest hit, Wakeman is cofounder and present CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of Launchpad Holdings LLC. Adding the victory in his life from there, this company just happens to hold status an SAAS. This position is both near and far from the beginning of his professional career, the origin of which is with GE Capital.
Of course, along the way from there to here, Glen has plethoras of other projects that constitute the value of his worth. This is a substantial amount that reaches into the billions, more than a few times over. To be more specific, the amount is 15 billion USD (United States Dollars), which comes from innovations designed for businesses and 1700 of their representatives (NewsSky). These projects range from mergers and acquisitions to overseeing start-ups from beginning to end.
But, Wakeman is not just all about the dollars and cents in life, he cares about the people who make sure there are dollars and cents to spend. So, that means writing in blogs and on other medias to make sure the next generation of businessmen are ready to take the mantle he might let go of in the future. If history is any indication of what is to come, there should be no problems for anyone listening to Glen.

Eric Pulier is something of a mystery as well as a huge success. His work as a technologist and entrepreneur has been something to really pay attention to over the years. Eric Pulier is also the founder of the XPrize Foundation which is one of the biggest motivators for young tech based entrepreneurs in the world. He’s an avid philanthropist and a notorious listmaker. Pulier’s work is insanely interesting but it comes up dull in comparison to the actual person. Let’s look at what Pulier did in order to find his way to this position today.
In order to become the best at something it helps to know what you want to do at an early age. From day one it seemed like Pulier was always going to be fascinated with technology and computers. Pulier was born and raised in New Jersey and by the time he was in fourth grade, Pulier was completely focused on programming and working with computers. By the time he graduated in 1984 he would have his own computer database company. It was clear early on what Pulier wanted and it was also clear that Eric Pulier was ready to work toward that goal.
Pulier would go on to attend Harvard where he would graduate Magna Cum Laude before moving off to Los Angeles. Pulier landed in California in the early ’90s in order to pursue his tech goals and dreams and he was quickly found to be successful. Pulier focused on healthcare and education early on before transitioning to becoming the well rounded entrepreneur that he is today. Along the way he would found or fund over a dozen different companies, always pushing the envelope as he did so.
Right now we are probably most impressed by the work Pulier is putting in with his philanthropy. Pulier is the founder of XPrize, which is a revolutionary program that creates competitions for young people to chase their potential in the tech field. Pulier also works with the Starbright World and Painted Turtle camp which both focus on bringing aid and relief to children who suffer from serious and chronic illness.

The Xbox One X arrives and Microsoft soon debuts an incredibly powerful 4K console. Come November, the Xbox One X hits retail store shelves and fans of gaming are going to be thrilled at the arrival. The new console might not look as catchy as previous models, but the “backward compatibility and processing power” gives the new console the potential to really shake up the market.
The potential for success associated with the Xbox One X connects directly to the ability to give gamers something unique and interesting. A new console that has nothing going for it other than being new is a hit or miss proposition. If a mediocre new console is released roughly the same time a very well-crafted new console is released, the better new console ends up being the big hit.
Gamers spend a lot of money as billions of dollars in sales indicate. Since the sheer numbers of gamers is so huge, even a weak console can generate millions in sales. Even millions in revenue do not automatically indicate a success, though. All gaming companies maintain projections of what they look for in sales numbers. A new console that doesn’t live up to hype or delivers nothing special generally stalls with low sales numbers.
Microsoft’s new console really does need to deliver on promises of being super-powerful. The console requires a strong hook in order to stimulate interest among gamers. Ironically, the console is very bland looking. Did the designers at Microsoft opt for irony when crafting the look of the world’s most powerful gaming console?
Looks really do not matter here. What matters is the console delivers. The Xbox One X really must deliver or else the console will be relegated to the “swing and a miss” status that befell other systems.
Microsoft’s press conference at E3 was lined with concrete details about the long-developed “Scorpio” iteration of their Xbox console line. Among those details was given the official name and release date, as well as its price point and a sample of its game library. The Official Name:The Release Window:Stat Sheet:Price Tag:The Game Library:
- The Official Name: In reference to the nomenclature behind last year’s “Xbox One S,” the Scorpio subtitle has been abandoned for adding another letter in front of the console’s name. The end result is that the Xbox Scorpio will be sold as the “Xbox One X.”
- The Release Window: Microsoft stated that they planned a global release date of November 7th, 2017. While no details have been given as to when pre-orders can be taken, it is probably a safe assumption that anyone who wants the new console will be itching to hear when that day will come.
- Stat Sheet: This new console’s features include: eight X86 cores; 12 GB of RAM; a 1 TB hard drive and a DVD drive capable of reading 4K UHD Blu-rays. Also of note is a vapor chamber to serve as the console’s heat sink.
- Price Tag: $499, over $100 more than rival Sony’s PS4 Pro; itself a device that supports 4K resolution on games but not Blu-rays.
- The Game Library:”Forza Motorsport 7.” While this title is initially slated for a PC/Xbox One release in early October, the subsequent version on the new console features 4K resolution and 60 frames per second.”Crackdown 3.” While this title has stagnant for years, it will serve as a launch title. Players will use an avatar of Terry Crews to level buildings and take down criminals with a variety of super powers.Backwards Compatability. Although few specifics were given, Microsoft stated that their new console would be able to run discs from the monolithic original Xbox.
