Overwatch Voice Talent Celebrates Game’s Anniversary with Dancing

Blizzard’s explosively successful character- and objective-based team shooter Overwatch just recently had its first anniversary. In celebration of the game’s success, more than half of the game’s voice actors decided to give their best shot at copying their characters’ dance emotes. Highlights of the endeavor, which took place on both coasts of the United States, as well as abroad include:

  • Matt Mercer doing finger guns in his best impression of McCree’s line-dancing.
  • Jen Cohn rocking out, gripping an air guitar like it were Pharah’s rocket launcher.
  • Gaku Space popping-and-locking like his cyber-ninja counterpart, Genji.
  • Keith Silverstein performing the “Carlton” with the same skill as Torbjörn.
  • Josh Petersdorf, the voice behind the masked, hook-toting meat-slab known as “Roadhog,” doing the “cabbage patch.”
  • Feodor Chin relying on Petersdorf, Space and Silverstein to heft him up in an attempt to replicate Zenyata’s levitating tai chi.
  • Jonny Cruz busting the same mean dance moves as Lúcio without the benefit of roller blades. Things work mostly fine until he attempts to recover from a leg split.
  • Zhang Yu adorably performing the Hare Hare Yukai dance that Mei performs. This works as a double reference as the dance is derived from the Japanese animated program “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.”
  • Charlet Chung doing her best to perform “Voltron Got Served” without the aid of a mechsuit like D.Va, her animated counterpart.
  • Lucie Pohl, voice actress for the German physician Mercy, doing an admirable job at “the Hustle” in the streets of New York City.
  • Voice acting legend Crispin Freeman, twisting away in a Winston-approved bamboo garden.
  • Chloé Hollings attempting the French ballet to mirror her French sniper Widowmaker.
  • Cara Theobold doing the Charleston with the same vigor as the time-displaced Tracer.
  • Cherrelle Skeete replicating dressage with half as many legs as Orisa.
  • Anjali Bhimani mirroring Symmetra’s Bollywood movements.
  • Carolina Ravassa shuffling like Sombra.
