A new batch of free PlayStation Plus games has been revealed for avid gamers to enjoy including a game that achieved a near 90 percent score on a popular review website. A total of six games were announced with two titles each for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and the PS Vita platforms. Sony PS4 owners seem like they’ll have a few good titles to check out if they haven’t already.
According to a report from Forbes, the games Atomic Ninjas and Squares will be made available for the handheld PS Vita console. Zombie Driver HD and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will be the games offered for the PlayStation 3. Meanwhile, PlayStation 4 gamers can use Trials Fusion and XCOM 2 as their PlayStation Plus free games. The latter of these games received a score of 87 percent on Metacritic.
That game, XCOM 2, is the second game in the rebooted X-COM series. The game involves the player commanding a military organization as a resistance force trying to fight off the alien occupation of the planet. The game was released for both PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One back in September 2016. There was also an expansion pack released called XCOM 2: War of the Chosen.
X COM 2 was nominated as “Game of the Year” at several awards shows that year and received high reviews from the likes of GameSpot, Game Informer, PC Gamer, and IGN. The game also ended up being ranked at No. 13 on the best PlayStation 4 games of 2016 so it’s certainly one to check out on the PlayStation Plus.
The other title being offered for free on PlayStation 4 is Trials Fusion. It gained a score of 79 percent via Metacritic. The platform racing game was released back in 2014 on the PS4 and involves guiding a motorcyclist through observed trials with all sorts of obstacles along their course. The game received generally positive reviews with most at the 8 out of 10 or higher level for sites like IGN, GameSpot, and Game Informer.
