Kevin Seawright can easily be described as a man capable of wearing many hats. Whether it is governmental services, business, finance, team building and management he has done it all in spades. Among the jobs, he has done is work for the city of Newark at their economic development department as its chief financial officer and executive vice president.
In these positions, Kevin demonstrated an ability to put together strategies that align technological innovations along with present organizational and economic aims. He served approximately for two years with the city of Newark and left it in better shape than he found it, through his innovative ways.
Newark is not the first city Kevin has worked for. He worked for many years for the city of Baltimore in various positions such as the managing fiscal officer of Baltimore’s department of aging and retirement. While working there he revamped the accounting system which ultimately saved the department hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Based on the good work he did with them he got transferred to the Housing Authority of Baltimore, where he worked as the payroll director. After that, he worked as the finance director of the Homeless Services Department. His final job with the city was chief financial officer for the parks and recreation department.
Kevin Seawright has been noticed and mentioned by many media outlets such as epodcastnetwork.com, Market Watch, world class magazines and market wired. In fact, market Wired recognized Kevin for his amazing organizational skills, especially in the New Jersey business world.
His other accomplishments include increasing revenue by 25% while working for Tito Contractors. He worked for this company because he has a passion for small businesses and has always tried to help them in whatever way he can while holding various offices in government.
He is currently a member of the American Society of Public Administrators as well as the National Black Public Administrators and finally, a member of the National Association of Black Accountants.
